Boys & Girls Club Meetings
In April 2023, Pryor to Success partnered with the Cedartown Boys & Girls Club to offer monthly educational workshops with its members. Each month we focus on different topics developing students' character, skillset, knowledge, and more. Topics include, but not limited to: financial literacy, bully prevention awareness, peer pressure prevention, mental health, and hard/soft skills.

Problem Solving: Team Puzzle Challenge
Students are divided into two teams and tasked with completing their respective puzzles within a set time limit. Each team works on a different puzzle, aiming to complete as much as possible within the first 20 minutes. Once time is up, we remove the completed puzzle image, leaving teams to strategize and recall details as they continue for an additional 20 minutes.

This activity encourages teamwork, critical thinking, and innovative strategies as each group reflects on the techniques that contributed to their success. At the end, both teams come together to discuss the methods that led to puzzle completion, fostering a collaborative learning experience that enhances problem-solving skills.

Gratitude: Giving Tree
Students are provided with leaf templates to decorate and write down who and what they are thankful for. Once decorated, each leaf is cut out and placed on a large poster featuring a tree drawing, symbolically filling the branches with gratitude. This visual display encourages students to reflect on the people and moments they appreciate in their lives.
Following this, students put gratitude into action by writing personal letters to someone who has made a positive impact on them. In these letters, they share a favorite attribute of that person, a lesson learned, and express appreciation for the special role they play. This heartfelt activity deepens students' understanding of gratitude and fosters meaningful connections.

Love Yours: Self-Love Heart Wreath
Students receive a worksheet featuring a wreath of blank hearts. They are encouraged to fill each heart with something they love about themselves. Once completed, students are invited to read each affirmation out loud or to themselves in a mirror. This activity fosters self-love, positivity, and self-awareness, helping students recognize and celebrate their unique strengths.
